beauty net koreaEver since the outburst of BB creams into the western world I have kept my eye on Korean beauty products and brands, and my love for them has grown bigger and bigger. It seems that Asian beauty brands, especially in Korea, are always on the cusp of new breakthrough ingredients and they also have the most cutest packaging I’ve ever seen! Continue reading

Random Weekend Haul – Farmers, MakeUp Direct, Postie Plus and more

weekend haulI’m not the only one that goes out just for a normal, average Saturday and ends up with a few little bags of beauty products right?!? A few of these bits I had in the back of my mind that I needed to pick them up at some point Continue reading

Cherry Culture NYX Haul

nyx haul imageYesterday I received my mini NYX haul from Cherry Culture. I needed a few NYX bits and bobs and was impressed that Cherry Culture had the cheapest prices out of a lot of different make up sites (including the official NYX online store!). They also ship to NZ for a reasonable price, so there was no YouShop hassle. My order took about three days to be processed and then shipping took around 5 days from the US to my door step. Nordstorm Haul – New MAC and Clinique babies!

Nordstorm.com is a fabulous American website which sells a range of fashion and beauty products from a huge selection of designer and top end brands. I was first drawn to Nordstorm after deciding to do a bit of a MAC haul, but I also wanted to get a few other Clinique bits and bobs. The large range of make up brands means you can do a big shop all from one store, and with online shopping and shipping costs it makes so much more sense to do it all in one. Bonus – Nordstrom has no problems shipping to a postage forwarding service (aka YouShop) and you get to select free samples with your purchases, woo! Nordstorm is a great alternative store to Sephora, with all those issues we get trying to order from this side of the world =( And the prices are very reasonable, in fact I was blown over backwards with the Clinique prices compared to what we pay here.

Firstly, what I got! Continue reading

Big Bucket Deals Auckland Haul – a little disappointing

1014054_10152054377977513_432864703_nThis weekend I headed off to the Big Bucket Deals Auckland event in Greenlane, I have been attending these sales each time they come to town for about two years now and I always come away with a deal or two. This time to be honest I was pretty disappointed with the size of the sale and the range of products, there were a lot less products for sale than normal. Although I like how it seems that they are getting in a lot more household products, the hair care range is getting smaller each time and the place was a total hot mess. I also just noticed a day later that one of the products is marked as a sample and not for sale…. hmmmm… bit odd? Despite my small gripes I did get a few goodies for quite good prices, so take a look! Continue reading

E.L.F Haul – Favs, shades and raves

Fotor0314145341

I recently received my large-ish haul from eyeslipsface.com, I did this order when e.l.f had their massive 50% off sale, which obviously was an opportunity I just couldn’t pass up. eyeslipsface.com (which is the official American website for e.l.f) actually has the best sales ever, there are several sales a week, and they are always worth your time, for example, 30-50% off or spend $30 and receive a free 14 piece brush set – yup, amazing! Although e.l.f Continue reading
