Kylie Jenner is my make up crush of the moment – seriously how does she get so much sass and cool into one look – and then do that like every day?! Not only has her new hair colour been the talk of the town, but that nude lippy she has been rocking since Coachella is just straight up perfect. Continue reading →
You heard it here first! Another fantastic brand is on its way to us, just down the road in your local Countdown supermarket, but this time it’s on an even bigger scale. MUD – Make Up Design is the newest make up brand to hit NZ shores, and I have been lucky enough to trial a few products to get you ready for when it arrives next week. I even have my very favorite MUD product to giveaway to another lucky person! Continue reading →
The fantastic Hannah from ‘A Lovely Look’ and I got chatting recently about how easy it can be to get stuck in a bit of a make-up rut. In my case I find that sometimes it is just so much easier to turn to my safe same olds, rather than try something new.
So we set ourselves a challenge, 5 days – 5 new looks. Each day we would individually try out a new make up look, something we hadn’t tried before or hardly ever do and rock it! I searched among my mass of beauty products and thought about looks and trends I had seen recently to decide on my 5 looks to try, and this is how it all turned out – three lip looks and two eye looks. I really love lipstick, and now with a few tricks and a bit of practice I have figured out how to make my favourite shades last even longer. I’m also the biggest fan of a bold lip for winter, (please give it a try, you won’t look back!) I saw this cute lipstick tag featuring on Elese Aesthete recently and thought I’d give it a go! I recently received my large-ish haul from eyeslipsface.com, I did this order when e.l.f had their massive 50% off sale, which obviously was an opportunity I just couldn’t pass up. eyeslipsface.com (which is the official American website for e.l.f) actually has the best sales ever, there are several sales a week, and they are always worth your time, for example, 30-50% off or spend $30 and receive a free 14 piece brush set – yup, amazing! Although e.l.f Continue reading →
I recently realised that my make up stand is home to three different brands/types of lip scrubs. Over the top? Maybe! But I find I have to pay quite a bit of attention to my lips as they dry out super easily, and exfoliating them regularly along with a lot of lip balm seems to really help. So it’s time for a bit of a battle of the brands, Lush vs E.l.F vs home-made. Continue reading →
So I was lucky enough to receive some inside information this week that firstly, e.l.f was confirmed to be arriving in NZ Kmart stores, and secondly that it would be on shelves in my local Kmart (Westfield, Albany, Auckland) by Friday night, Saturday morning at the latest. Imagine my surprise when taking a casual late night wonder through Kmart’s beauty section and almost practically walking into their new e.l.f stall!!!! Although it is not a huge stall or as wide of a selection as I was hoping for, there are some fantastic classic e.l.f products Continue reading →
Scrolling through my reader ‘Seven Sins of Beauty’ caught my eye, so I thought I would do my first ever beauty/blog tag! I spotted this first on macmepretty.com. Just like her I was also waiting on a MAC order, well more like procrastinating about hitting the ‘pay now’ button on the MAC US website…. I still haven’t done it… but I want to so bad!
No Little Fool.co.nz is possibly the smartest new online beauty shop. This locally owned online store is the easiest way to get your make up fix – and it’s super fast! No Little Fool currently stocks e.l.f, Sleek and Wet ‘N’ Wild, with more products and brands being added Continue reading →
